Investors in People...  

Helena Housing was delighted to achieve the prestigious Investor in People (IIP) accreditation in April 2005. The award confirms the focus and ambition of Helena Housing as well as its commitment to its employees, known collectively as Team Helena.  

Since the company was set up in July 2002 a tremendous amount of work has been done to embed a positive new culture, improve communications and implement ambitious learning and development plans. This is in line with one of Helena’s eight strategic aims to ‘Provide jobs that are rewarding, challenging and enjoyable and give our people the opportunity to do those jobs to the best of their ability.’  

The assessor was very impressed with the work Helena Housing had done to achieve the standard and spoke positively about the enthusiasm and commitment of the employees she spoke to.   In December 2006 Helena Housing received accreditation for the Investor in People Leadership and Management award, recognising the high professional standards expected and delivered by our leaders.   These are set out in our Team Helena leader’s guide.
