Sutton covers a large area of St Helens.

  • Four Acre is a mixture of larger two, three, four and five bed houses, including a number of bungalows and one and two bed flats. Built in the 1960’s it includes Pollitt Crescent and Pendlebury Street
  • New Street is an estate that underwent major refurbishment in 1996. Properties range from one bed flats to four bed houses. The area has several local schools and excellent transport links including rail and bus.
  • Sandalwood Gardens is currently a mix of bungalows and flats which were refurbished in 1994. The units are sheltered with a resident warden and have community facilities.
  • Robins Lane was built in the 1920s and the houses are traditional, semi-detached properties.
  • Baxters Lane is a mixture of non-traditional terraced houses built in the 1960s and 1970s. There are also flats some of which are designated for mature/elderly residents.
  • Berrys Lane is a mixture of 2 and 3 bed houses built in the 1970’s.
  • Sherdley Road is an area of pre-war, terraced houses.
  • Watery Lane has three storey flats built in the 1960s and some designated sheltered accommodation.
  • Carnegie Crescent was built in the 1970s as an open plan estate with a mixture of houses and flats.
  • Hoghton Road was mainly built in the 1950s. There is a mixture of traditional semi-detached properties, flats designated for mature and elderly and some sheltered bungalows.

All of the above estates are within walking distance of Sutton Village and its amenities. All are close to a bus route.

  • The Cross Farm Estate in Peasley Cross is made up of one and two bedroom flats and two and three bed houses.

Clock Face

  • Farm & Field Road are a mixture of two and three bed semi-detached properties built in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s. The estate also has a sheltered scheme which includes flats and bungalows.
  • Gorsey Lane is a mixture of bungalows and three bed houses in a quiet community built in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s.

Bold

  • Union Bank Lane and Mill Lane . A mixture of two and three bed houses situated in a rural area. Built in the 1960’s/70’s.

Sutton Manor

  • Delamere Avenue , a mixture of 2/3 bed houses originally built in the 1970’s but refurbished in the 1990’s through Estate Action Funding.
  • Burns Road and Kipling Grove is a mixture of 3 bed, semi-detached pre-war properties.
  • Forest Road is one block of 1 and 2 bed flats
