This grant funding directory has been put together for use by tenants and residents to help them access funding for community projects.
During our annual Tenants’ Conference in September 2003, tenant representatives told us that they wanted a simple guide on local and national sources of funding that would help them to deliver the types of projects they were involved in.
This information source highlights ten such sources of funding, as well as giving some pointers on how to plan a funding project and a section on why applications fail. However this pack is by no means a comprehensive source of possible funders who will help your project. For more details on other funders contact the Regeneration and Community Initiatives Team.
Helena Housing supports community projects via its Community Fund and the focus of our Community Regeneration Strategy is to help to create “thriving neighbourhoods.” We believe that when we provide homes to our tenants we are contributing to neighbourhoods and communities as well as “bricks and mortar.”
